Michael J. Feldman
Michael J. Feldman concentrates his
practice in complex commercial and intellectual property
litigation, representing clients in the State and Federal
courts, as well as in various alternative dispute resolution
forums. Michael handles a wide variety of matters, and
has headed litigation involving novel intellectual property
issues, contested license agreements and terms, foreign
currency exchange issues, medical practice compliance,
employment disputes, franchise agreement obligations,
construction disputes and a variety of related corporate
and contract disputes. By combining his corporate background
with his extensive litigation experience, together with
a thorough understanding his client’s business
operations, goals and aspirations, Michael is able to
provide effective and efficient representation of each
client’s interests.
Michael also assists his clients in all aspects of their
business operations, including business strategy, complex
contract negotiation and drafting (including licensing,
website-related agreements, and services agreements),
and protection of intellectual property. In addition,
Michael assists his clients in the formation and implementation
of employment agreements, employee manuals and general
employee and independent contractor policy and dispute-avoidance
strategy. He represents primarily closely held companies
in a variety of industries, including consulting, medical,
retail, wholesale, construction, manufacturing and computer
technologies.
Michael has also prepared national sweepstakes rules
and regulations, as well as guided clients through the
benefits and potential pitfalls of such promotional programs.
In addition, Michael assists clients seeking to establish
and create franchises and prepares the requisite UFOC
forms and related applications and franchise agreements.
Michael was recently named a “Rising Star” and
one of the “Top New Jersey Lawyers” in
2006 and 2007 editions of the New Jersey Monthly Super Lawyers.
Michael is a Board member of the South Mountain Conservancy.
Michael was formerly associated with ReedSmith LLP and
LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, LLP, two of the world’s
leading international law firms. Michael earned his B.A.
in political science and history from Rutgers College,
and his J.D. from Cornell Law School. He is admitted
to practice before the State and Federal Courts in New
Jersey and Pennsylvania, and is a member of the New Jersey
and American Bar Associations, as well as the Association
of Trial Lawyers of America.
