Kurt thrives on solving complex high-stakes business and financial issues and dedicates a substantial portion of his practice to advising startups, emerging growth and mid-market companies on business and strategic issues, including financial management and growth strategy, turnaround and restructuring, asset maximization, and mergers and acquisitions and capital raising. Having worked with several hundred companies in his career, Kurt brings deep legal and business knowledge to his clients, coupling business and legal experience with practical and creative solutions that enable clients to effectively achieve their goals. Clients value Kurt’s uncanny ability to find solutions to problems that others cannot. Kurt has guided clients through well over 100 sale transactions to financial and strategic buyers, reflecting several billion dollars in transacted equity value.
Kurt also represents professional services businesses, including accounting, legal, medical (human and veterinarian) and consulting services, in all aspects of their business cycle: formation and partnership agreements, equity and compensation structures, and merger/combinations.
