John J. Billiris

John is a Senior Associate in the Corporate & Transactional department of OlenderFeldman LLP.

Before joining the firm, John clerked at a corporate firm in Manhattan where he handled a wide variety of transactional matters and participated in complex intellectual property litigation. John has also worked in the legal department of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, where he was responsible for drafting and reviewing agreements with major media corporations.

John earned his J.D. and L.L.M. from Tulane University Law School where he specialized in Corporate Law and Intellectual Property Law, graduating with Distinction. While at Tulane, he ranked first in Trademark and Advertising Law and his intellectual property research was published in Video Games and the Law (2016) and Legal Art Law: A Handbook for Artists (2018).

John was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. Prior to law school, he earned a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology Sydney, where he majored in International Business and Business Law. He has also received a Certificate of Negotiation from the University of Michigan. John is admitted to practice law in New Jersey.

John enjoys hiking, writing screenplays, and basketball. He also speaks Greek.
